FRIDAY NIGHT YOGA WORKSHOPS!  9/22  730pm, Autumn Equinox Yin/Spa Yoga Workshop at Groundwork Yoga + Wellness, Belmont, MA. 75min Yin Yoga class combining essential oils, massage and the Chinese Five Elements to balance and restore as we head into Fall. Website details http://www.groundworkwellness.com

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles. In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, energetically, Yin Yoga enhances the body’s energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium. This practice emphasizes stillness and silence and acts as an introduction to meditation.

VOLUNTEER WORK/SUPPORTING LOCAL FARMS: Some of you know that I have spent this summer as a volunteer at Wright Locke Farm in Winchester at the Farmstand on Thursday mornings, 9-1pm. If you haven’t been to the farm yet, come on by anytime during daylight hours and explore the property. The farmstand hours are updated on the website. https://www.wlfarm.org

About Wright Locke Farm:  “Today, we are a bustling community farm offering a wide range of certified organic crops, education programs for children and adults, and special events for the community. All of our efforts are led by a small team of employees who are greatly supported by the organization’s Board of Directors, numerous volunteers, and the financial support of our generous donors.”
